Yep, and I wasn't driving like a granny either, (only 2800 rpm, Officer). Totally different drive from my V6 though - very 'agricultural' gearbox around town, but the pick up in higher gears is so good that the only reason to 'drop down' is if you're going through a tunnel

Found the badges at last - small world - ex 260s member Andy Stevens (2003 Aurora ZT with white leather?) listed them separately on fleabay but I persuaded him that my need was greater than the trolls! Spent half an hour chatting about his MG provenance - nice chap.
Now I'm on the hunt for those 5-spoke alloys on the original promo pics
