Well it appears that none of the answers is correct, does anyone know if the article I found any substance or is the history of the MG mark doomed to be destroyed in the chinese whirlwind?!!

    Hi John,
Does it have a European Certificate of Conformity? I forgot to ask when I bought my ticket a few days back. It will make it a lot easier to register here in France when I win it :-) It was great meeting you, and thanks for the guided tour of your V8 treasures. You just need an MGB GT V8 to complete the set!

Hi John. Glad you went ahead with my idea of a competition I was wondering if I may copy this thread onto the BRM site, as I spend more time on there then .org these days? If you have any issues I will remove the thread, I don't think there will be any issues as it does aid a good cause

Hi Gaz, only just seen your message, can't see any problem with you copying it across, just remember, it is not a raffle or a lottery, it is a skill based competition (then it complies with Gambling Commission regulations). I'm upto around 250 entries and climbing! Oh and Julian, yes it does, I know from selling a new MG TF to Sweden last year that you have to quote various numbers and then all is fine! Now then-anyone else want to enter? You've gotta be in it to win it !

I think the right answer probably is the one that most people know it to be.

History is a stange thing but legacy is far more powerfull

Monosodium glutamate, also known as sodium glutamate or MSG, is the sodium salt of glutamic acid, one of the most abundant naturally occurring non-essential amino acids.[1] It has been classified by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as generally recognized as safe (GRAS) and by the European Union as a food additive. MSG has the HS code 29224220 and the E number E621.[2] The glutamate of MSG confers the same umami taste of glutamate from other foods, being chemically identical.[3] Industrial food manufacturers market and use MSG as a flavor enhancer because it balances, blends and rounds the total perception of other tastes.
