When to change normally? and any risks? I read some issues about the Ford engine stripping threads for the spark plugs on plug removal.

I think the service manual recommends replacement at 90,000 miles but I would think everyone on here would be a bit more frequent.
I replace mine on the major services (based on OBC alerts that works out at 18,000 for me).
The heads are very soft so do not overtighten, I think 12 - 15 lb/ft torque max.
Have a look here.
With the supercharger change every 12K I think, Scooter recommends to remove
once a year lightly copper slip thread and refit, As the TR6 are only just over £ 20.00 a set I put new ones in when I do yearly service, K Silver is right with the torque , not too much
the original platinum plugs do have a long life, but are more expensive. I do recall the planned first change is after a suprising amount of miles, somewhere between 70k and 90k but I cant remember now
If you change to copper, you will need to change them more frequently but they are much cheaper and to be hinest probably work just as well.
I spent quite a bit on NGK Iridium plugs, and not really had any difference.

Think I might leave them alone then. Since new only 65k and running fine. It would be nice to get more than 23mpg but you cant have everything.
23 MPG - wow you're doing well

If it ain't broken don't fix it! Good term for the plugs on this car. The EML will tell you soon enough when you are misfiring.
