    Default Insurance

    Hi all,

I`ve got 164, I`m with LV and first used them in `92 when they were Frizzell. I`m 51 (but still drink Vimto), full no claims on a protected policy and pay £383 pa. All they insisted on was a tracker for the car, it`s kept in a locked garden with cctv coverage but that didn`t get me a discount.

My policy is what was a "group" one which allowed me to have several cars on the one so I had a quote on that policy first and nearly fell of my zimmer when I heard £2,000!!! The call centre guy said they were trying to encourage group policy owner to do it a different way.

They encouraged me. I took out a seperate policy.

    Cheers.

I seem to swap between Adrian Flux and Privilege, playing one against the other to bring down quotes. Both have been good following a claim (althought this was 12 and 13 years ago.

Also watch out - last time I tried Peter best they would not quote for modified cars - remembering modified means lots of things including

    Different tyre sizes
    Accufab throttle body
    Performance air filters
    Different wheels
    Superchargers!
Stainless exhausts (including Xpowers and Zeros - both are non standard!)
