Hi has anyone had any problems with these? Mine have suddenly stopped raising themselves when turn them on and also they have started flickering every now and again. Any clues?

The Xenons are usually very reliable. Sounds like you have an earth problem

I guess then I have to dismantle the front of the car to get to the headlights? Just a job for dark, wet winter evenings outdoors!
If your car has been up on ramps lately you might have the same thing that happened to mine. Basically the rear elbow sensor on the drivers side rear suspension had gone over centre when the suspension sagged right down with the wheels hanging. When it was back on its wheels the gizmo was bent the wring way and the self leveling headlights hadnt a clue which way to aim. One day it would be plane spotting the next it was aimed at the road right in front of the car. Easy fixed by checking how it looks and jacking the car up and putting it the right way.
