    Assume you have already tried, but disconnect the battery, ensure that is really FULLY charged, and reconnect after at least 30 mins. Effects a reset of lots of electronic thingies, and often works.

    I have also heard of corroded K bus connections under the seat carpet are the culprits of similar sounding woes.
    This description sounds EXACTLY like your problem, right down to which bits do and do not work.

    (You may not be able to see that if you are not a full member; sorry if so).

    A soaked BCU is also a possibility (water leaks from scuttle panel pins/clips or wiring grommets for example).
