Being picked up at a station south of Leeds, do the paperwork etc, over to a trader from the 75&ZT club who lives locally to get a spare key sorted out then head north for about 220 miles. Luckily, judging by weather forecasts, I seem to have picked a quiet period between storms to collect it.
Add credit card for a couple of fill ups

This sounds like my buying experience 2 weeks ago, half a day of coach and train journeys followed by a nervous 200-odd mile drive home. I was a lot less prepared though!

    Hope all goes well!

Got home at half eight, much later than I thought. The plan was to finalise the deal then go to one of the 75&ZT club traders for a 2nd key. Got to the trader's, coffee then he started doing the key, that's when the fun started, like many other V8s it didn't like a T4 poking around inside it! After a lot of frustration and a phone call to another trader finally got it sorted but the delay meant I hit Newcastle at peak traffic, what I didn't want. The weather was downright unpleasant but we got here, tired but with a big grin on my face

Regarding the fuel, I'd heard all kinds of horror stories but I was pleasantly surprised that she returned 28mpg.

Enjoy, well you will at 28 mpg and under a £1 a litre. I still enjoyed at £1.40 and have never seen 28mpg keep that in mind.
