For those non-dutch speakers amongst you, he was very positive about the car. Nothing negative at all in fact, even enthusiastic. Did however finally say that although nearly 20k euros is a lot of money, it may well be that if you were to look back on it in 5 or 10 years from now, you would say "why oh why didn't I buy it at such an affordable price?", in view of the enormous rarity.

Anyone know about this RHD car in Germany? Bit of a mystery:
Rover 75 V8 in IAE Chatsworth
https://www.autoscout24.com/offers/r...4392?cldtidx=3
The photos show it to be a Chatsworth (RHD) but otherwise looks identical to #215 the LHD Geneva show car, which recently sold for a little less. The leather hasn't got the black piping (not SPJ; is it even sandstone? Photo could be misleading, but looks smokestone-ish), and doesn't appear to be Conny spec style either! The database doesn't show any car to have the spec, colour and trim combination as far as I can see. Sitting on 18" Vortex's too. Could it be the NEC show car? That spec. shouldn't exist, but obviously does.
Perhaps a better German speaker than I am could try and mail/speak to them to find out the VIN !
How it came to be languishing in the west of Germany is a mystery. Any ideas anyone?
Does look like the highest asking price for a RHD car to date though, although LHD have fetched more.

... which is why I suspect it may be the NEC show car, being the correct colour and trim (as far as press photos go).
Press cars, show cars and so on often have multiple personalities (even down to the "make"). Unless anyone claims to know better, I imagine it could be that one. No nearer finding the VIN and/or its history.

Imported into Holland from Belgium in late 2010. Garaged since Autumn 2015.
The vehicle is being sold "for a client". The salesman says the client is thinking about Euro 19,000. Sounded unconvincing (/unconvinced).
The car has had right rear corner damage, clearly visible from within the boot, sufficient to break the rear window glass, which has been replaced. The damage has been repaired to a reasonable standard as far as that can be judged by eye. The whole car has been re-sprayed (why ?) Viewed in the showroom, not a bad spray job, say, 8/10. Salesman offered his opinion that it didn't look too brilliant in the sunlight!
Heavy leakage from differential (front oil seal?).
Ill-fitting LH exhaust back-box and rear bumper.
The car was not driven (disconnected battery).
On the plus side, little or no rust formation on struts, rear shocks, sub-frame, springs etc. Tidy interior, wheels. No unusual wear/scoring on front or rear brake-disks.
