Peter Best himself is still very active at the top level within the MG Car Club, that's why we get a good deal. I am sure we would be looked after in any event

When i uped my insurance for the s/c kit with PB, the female told me a S/C added 25% to the policy and as i was paying in the regeion of £285 with legal protection ect i paid an extra £65 which whilst is is very good why aren't we all the same, i except age/claims /area come into it but at 65 and never claimed except for windscreens, been driving continually from 17 and in a rural area SA15 why not me.Anyhow best of luck to all of you who are having it cheaper.

Thanks for all the info on the insurance side of things, I will have to give PB a call and see what the deal is.
The next question is what to pay for a mk 2 260 with low miles compared to a s/c one? I dont think ive ever seen a s/c one for sale.
Jon
WNJ516 "The female" probably spotted you were an MCP and loaded your premium. More seriously though,I queried the variable premiums with Peter Best, and whether a car was garaged overnight or not seemed to be the difference between under or over £300
There were only a handful manufactured in 2005 (10% of the Mk2s), so you should probably be considering 2004 as well.
This one is a fairly close match to your spec and appeared on autotrader recently. It's owned by a member on this site and would definitely be on my "to see" list if I was looking to buy.

I think this one might still be for sale, though a little high mileage for you (and higher tax as it is an 06).
Is there a link for this ZTT 400 mentioned?
How about a Black Mk2 Tourer?
