Could be a plan. I'm going to be careful not to get too excited, it'll be the first one I've seen and I want to get a good one as it could be a keeper...

Hi Stephen, welcome along and good luck with your search, there seems to be 3 or 4 for sale quite often, and most cars seem to been known or known of. I bought mine form Ebay, was 150 miles away so had to take a chance as I wanted an Mk1 SE, sure I've had the odd problem, but she's pretty much sorted now. Mine is a keeper, so what I spend, I get the benefit of.
Terry.
G'day Stephen
Welcome to the collective. I bought mine off Pistonheads almost sight unseen back in 2008. I wanted a BRG ZT-T, was told by the wags on here that I was looking for hens' teeth, found one available during the week I was in the UK (it was advertised as an "MG 4600", not V8 or 260, or any of the usual designations), bought it on a wet day (it looked shiny), and shipped it back to Oz a year later. Apart from the usual (orange clip, heater hose and tap, aircon compressor, UK salty rust damage underneath) it has been an excellent buy. I think most owners have treated the cars well, and there is not much you can't fix up anyway.
Good luck with the search.
