SMC had bilstiens for 150 a pair, front or rear, might be worth trying them...

What are you doing with the fronts, just changed mine and the top mounts etc and it has made a massive difference to ride quality and no squeaks etc any more...

I am of the opinion that they are probably on their way out circa 60k miles...

I bought a set front and rears from SMC and it was a definite improvement, but after I had everything fitted I came to the conclusion that it wouldn't have cost a whole lot more to have the VHS kit fitted.

    Something to consider.

I would like to do that but I dont have a spare £1400 plus fitting costs and garage labour cost up north is not too bad so I will start with the front set (just bought for £135 from SMC they have a sale on) and do the rear later on if i can find a set. Mine done 85K miles and is a bit bouncy at the moment.

Might be a good idea to get the top mounts replaced at the same time fairly cheap

Yes i will do. I made this mistake with the CDTI and had to replace them 3 months after the shocks.
