Default 54 MG TF 1.8 160 in Monogram Moonshine Chromescent

Feel it's time to move on to something new. I've had this car just over 18 months, which is a personal best for me!

    http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3374082.htm

2004 54 MG TF 1.8 160 5-speed manual in Monogram Moonshine Chromescent paintwork with black leather interior trim. Very low documented mileage currently 27,000 miles.

    First registered Sept 2004

    3 Former Keepers.

    MOT April 2012
    TAX March 2012

    Service History
    25,556 miles - April 2011 (invoice)
    20,251 miles - March 2010 (invoice)
    11,465 miles - March 2009 (invoice)
    2,680 miles - March 2008

Timing belts x 2 plus tensioner replaced in 2009.

Very rare MG TF 160 finished in Monogram Moonshine Chromescent silver paintwork with full black leather, interior trim. This paintwork was an optional extra offered by MG costing around £1,800 as part of their monogram programme. Moonshine is an incredibly striking irridescent silver.

Offering the most powerful 160bhp package, this TF delivers breath taking performance. Interesting number plate ending 'TTF'!

Black soft top. 16 inch multi spoke alloy wheels. Dual projector headlights. Twin exit, chrome tipped exhaust system. Front fog lights. High level brake light. Remote central locking. CD sound system. Electric, tinted windows. Electric, colour coordinating door mirrors. MG door thresholds. Silver faced, MG insignia instruments. Power steering. Headlight adjust. Drivers SRS air bag safety system. Arm rest.Fitted with rear window demister - which is essential on these cars!

Recently serviced this TF comes complete with owners manual with stamped service section, old MOTs, servicing invoices, clear HPI report, V5C and a current MOT running to March. This is an exceptionally rare model and offers amazing performance.

This is true.... I really fancy a bit of a retro classic though: something like a Ford Capri.

Why do you need aircon in a soft top (asked the man with air con in his soft top)? Put the roof down man and get on with it!

For some strange reason, I'm really hankering after cars I used to love as a child (even if they were truly awful!)
Nostalgia is even driving me to look at Montego's for God's sake!
I remember my Dad having for a very short while, a late 80's 3.0 litre Toyota Supra in white (with pop-up lights) Scanning them at the moment too!

I'm hoping this is a passing fad..... )

If the TF doesn't sell, I'm not overly worried, it's a great little car and I've enjoyed owning it. I never really got the whole 'soft-top' thing before owning it - especially in this country where we get an average 0.789 hours of sunshine a week. However, even if it's cold, overcast and windy, I'm one of those idiots that's still happy to take the roof down and buzz about in it!
