    Hi guys,

Not long purchased my V8 260 after owning a V6 ZT 160 BHP. Love the power but have one or two problems some people on hear may know about.
I think the gearbox is a bit archaic and has a heavy clutch and difficult to change gear quickly. I am getting used to it though.
Got a bit of backlash on the driveshafts also. But nothing I cant live with.
remote central locking and alarm only works when you put the key in the lock, has this happened to anyone else? have changed battery in fob but to no avail..
It has a samco induction kit on it, I will post a pic at some point but does anybody else have one of these? it looks like it has had the airbox removed and I cant see a cone filter.
I would really like the Xpower or Cobra exhausts I like the sound from them. I ould like to stay with the twin pipes each side. Can anyone advise where I would get either of these exhausts or something with a good sound and how much would it cost?

Looks like a great forum and is good to speak to other enthusiasts.

Welcome enjoy your car your now one of a few.
I to had a 160V6 and the gearbox is old in comparison but the Tremic 3560 is good for 450bhp should you go there so you have to be a little patient with it.
Mine clonks but you will find you can avoid them after using the car for a little while.
Don't know about c/locking or the induction kit, but there are lots of info on the site, and people willing to help.
There are two types of back boxes around I know of the Zero's loved them on my car but my Tinitus did'nt, others will be along to advise on the types and contacts I am sure.
Enjoy the driving and the forum

    Hi and welcome

If you want to keep the twin tail pipes consider the Zero's. Info on the forum.
Doorlock not sure, could be a faulty receiver.
Gearbox, bit agricultural but as said, strong...
Clonk can be avoided after you get used to the car.........

Anyway, enjoy, get the questionnaire back to Tim and get access to the whole forum

Hi welcome along. I have the zeros. Not quite as loud as the xpowers, but have a really great deep sound that turns into a roar at 4000. What's the last 3 digits of you vin?

Hi and welcome , regarding the gearbox you will get used to it!! try changing the oil it made mine smoother, also better change diff oil, from memory mine seemed smoother after wards, plus it should have been changed after the initial 1000 miles then after
something like 150000 miles but some dealers missed it

Dreadnoughts recommendation for the diff is after 1000 miles and then every 15000

    Was never documented by MGR

Agree gearbox can feel better after an oil change
