Insurance woes!!

No idea if this will help or not, but i heard about a new insurer who specialises in young drivers - they are called Woop, but beyond this (& the fact i've seen a couple of vinyled up Fiat 500s locally to me - in Thaxted, Essex), i don't know much more.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing is..NOT how much is the Premium p.a. etc... but.. WHAT WILL YOU GET IN A "RIGHT OFF" SITU !! No good saving two or three hundred quid, but LOSING two or thee GRAND.. when your "pay off" cheque arrives in the post. I KNOW.. been there got the T-shirt !!!
I use the NFU. They are right at the lowest end of all the crap compare sights ! PLUS.. they are excellent on" RIGHT OFF" amounts. You speak to an engineer directly, NOT some twat chewing gum, whilst they are looking on Auto Trader .. to see cheapest possible matching year/ model to yours !! AND.. they are really polite and pleasant people ( NO I'm not on commission ! ) I don't want to give my dosh to some ignorant s~d's. One thing that's the big " bummer " these day's, Accident/ Claim wise.. is the extremely low right off per centage calculation's the Insurance lot are using. AND.. with very low 260 prices flashine up on the for sale sights.. 5K etc !!!... ANY fairly minor prang.. could result in a 5k , minus £ 350 or so "excess ", for you mint 260 pay off !!
Another interesting point.. home mechanics beware .. if you have not got an up to date S/H on the car.. claim awards are knocked down quite alot !!
I had a mint con Nissan 200sx Turbo. 38K . previous owner was a master mech/ tec for 40 yrs- had done all work himself..to a superb standard. i had spent a fair bit on c/b change. lots os servicing.. BUT ..done my a mech/ tec.. " on the side " !! So ..no proof of servicing. Guess what, got lowest posssible book price !! After two 14yr old " boys " had dumped it after joy riding in it for a week. !!
B U T.. on my last " right off " , no I don't have much luck do I !, I reeceived., from NFU, an excellent cheque at the end of the day.. BECAUSE.. I had kept every single receipt possible for everthing ever done to the car.... plus I'd spent a week, going through every sold/ for sale matching car/ similar car.. to mine. When they had to fax my receipts bundle/ back up data through to H/O in the Ins broker.. it took em half an hour on the fax machine !!! BUT.. I got a proper/ fair cheque in the end !
That car, my last before current 260, was a very rare, absolutely mint/ concours condition, Toyota Aristo . A Lexus GS300 with a 320 bhp Twin Turbo Supra motor in. It was a 1994 vintage, never had any paint done, the nipps had loving cared for it in nipp land, was previously owned by one of those head to toe, Carp tattoo'd gangster's !! Unfortunately, some" scum" decided to " walk" over it !! A dented roof, is impossible to repair in most cases, and on a rare car with no replacement panel available.. your buggerred !! This is were our muslim mates have got it correct.. because in shaira law land ( wrong spelling ! ) if caught.. these b******ds would have had their FEET cut off ( feet.. because the damage was inflicted by their .. feet.. yes !! )

I lIke a good rant. You fill ya boots chum. If it makes you smile I know where the git lives who pored nitro morse all over my car earlier this year. You gotta wait till they think they got away with it. Then, I guarantee, he will find out that thermite is way way better than paint stripper.
