Default My Neighbours Think I'm Bonkers

My V8 has never had a proper clean (well detail) so I thought today was a good a day as any to start....most of the afternoon the car has been jacked up and one wheel off.

In between childcare duties, I managed to get all for wheels and arches done. God were they in a state, I even found a lump of chewing gum stuck inside.

The photos look impressive, but the arches are about 90% and the wheels 95% corrected, perhaps next time I'll get them up to par.

Tomorrow I'll actually get round to washing and polishing it.

Know what you mean - when I put my summer wheels back on I cleaned them and Rimwaxed them - neighbours walked passed shaking their heads at someone cleaning the inside of their wheels

Yep, waxed the insides too.....and dressed the arches......there really is no hope. I just hope the body work ends up as well.

Join the club David, Glad I am not the only one, Its the satisfaction you get from doing jobs like this I Like, I even take the discs off clean em up, spray black with heat proof black paint, clean out hand brake drum and adjust hand brake, ect ect, usually about every 2 years I do it , worth doing as it all looks like new, plus any loose bits and problems will be visible

How weird. I did the arches and wheels on mine the other day. Put them back on, and imagine my disappointement when stepping back to admire my handiwork and discovered that you can't see the re-painted struts, inner arches or the painted and polished track rods and wish bones. Well at least I know they are done. My son thinks I'm nutts.

THE MAN WHO INVENTED THE WHEEL WAS AN IDIOT!

Now, the man who invented the other three, he was a genius.

was a regular routine when i had #860. also a place to note is the gap between the arch line and where the sill starts, big mud trap there. same both front and rear. i cleaned them all out and wax oiled it you have to peel back the wheel arch liner to get at them.

heres 860's hope Silver one has kept them up to standard.

    here's some of 860

    And some of the cerbera's

Plan is to remove all suspension compenents in the next few days / weeks, remove all the bushes, get them re powder coated and new poly bushes fitted, then aligned and MOT, once i've done the suspension with new gaz gold adjustable coil overs.
