Hi all, should be purchasing a MG ZT 260 V8 shortly, Can most of the Service items...Fan belt...Filters...Brake Pads... be purchased from most of the Common Motor Factors...Ford V8 of course, i take it the Ford V8 has Timing chain as against Belt. OAP Pete.

yes, most common service items are fairly easy to source in the UK. As much is shared engine-wise with the Mustangs of similar era, and there's decent asupport for those over here. Eg us automotive, real steel etc.

So plugs, oil filters, belt can be sourced. Timing chains I dont think have a scheduled replacement age/mileage? if they do, its very high.

Air filters most people switch to a K&N which is easliy sourced.

Brakes are same on front as ZT 190 / BMW 330 so easy peasy.

rears, pads are easy to source, discs are unique so another matter, expensive but can be skimmed.
