    Default BMW mk4 SAt Nav

I am looking for a MK 4 BMW sat nav for my ZTT any on offer? Can anyone give me some idea of price I should expect to pay for a secondhand working Sat NAv. My mk 3 is working fine but is a pain not having the postcodes. Is the mk 4 BMW a straight swap or will it require other bit and bobs as well? Any info would help. thanks

Yep straight swap - so easy even I managed it

It's a top "how to" from Peter and he also helped me out via PM

I just did my 75 and will be doing the 260 soon. But you do need three bits and a hacksaw and they don't come cheap.

If thats the original then I've got one that is only good for parts. Screen is too dark and one of the dials is shagged. Other than that is working. Took it out of the 75 when I stuck Nich's in from his 260.

    Well,

I've obviously got one having just taken it out of the 75 but my current plan is to buy another diesel when this one finally croaks it so I'd transfer the Mk4 etc etc
-having said that the diesel's on 110k and as good as the day I bought it

Me too, was thinking of selling it due to using the train 95% of the time at the moment but going to keep it because its running well on 104,000 and can't bring myself to use the wife's Rover 25 more.

Mine is a 51 plate on 145,000 now and going strong!! ok watch it die on me now it also has had every diesel mod done to make it more quicker which having the 260 made me realise it needed! would hate to go to a 116 diesel after driving mine...

MkIV satnavs seen to be going for about £400 on fleabay at the moment as been looking at going down that route and 16:9 monitor myself but as somewhere is now selling a double din fascia for our cars at £19.99 might be cheaper to go for aftermarket with GPS (non chinese as hearing the sound quality is poor)
