Wonder what a 260 on Cherry Bombs sounds like?

I have been considering testing that out, as the place that made my silencers also happens to sell them.

Hi, just out of interest I have just got a quote from a company in the Midlands and they have provided a price of £179 per box inc VAT made whilst you wait. They look like top quality S/S units and you can select the amoint of noise you want and they have software which will give you some idea before you commit yourself. Loads of choices on tail pipe configurations as well.

Regarding X Powers, I am sure anyone can make similar exhausts in fact exhausts that nobody would be able to tell the difference, but surely the value in the X Powers is that they are original MG ones no matter how silly that may be?

A bit like an antique book, first versions sell for silly money yet you can still get the book for £2 from smiths!

Not that I am biased at all...

Round here, they're called powerflow. And powerflows dont sound anything like xpowers.... not one bit.

I have experienced X Powers on 455, standard silencers on 288 and these custom made tail pipes on 700 (but I don't know where they were made) and the latter is so far my favourite - a really nice sound, but not too noisy.

Perhaps I need to re-evaluate the X Powers with the famous sleeves.

    I counted them in and I counted them out (with apologies to Brian Hanrahan) - 005, 007, 019, 051, 103, 288, 354, 455, 577, 700 - the story continues.

I think Martin (Merl) has a set of similar design on his 260. He may know who/what/where/when
