Default Wanted air con unit clutch/pulley.

An unpleasant noise coming from the motor turned out to be a fried bearing in the air con pulley so I'm looking for a new clutch and pulley assembly. I'm off the road until I can find one so it's rather urgent. Any help much appreciated.....

Thanks for that Colin. At the moment it's just the Clutch/MagCoil/Pulley I want as I don't want to remove the unit and have to re-gas etc:

I'll give Compressortech a ring anyway to see if they have any ideas though.

Try Nick at Austin he took my old one off when i replaced it with one from the States (Nick was well impressed with it came fully filled wth oil)anyway my old one may well have some good components left on.

Think I might have one. Give me a call on 01877 331099 You need to find the reason for the failure, sounds like you have a proplem with the compressor which has overloaded the drive.

OK guys. Thanks for all the help with this..

I'm going to see Nick at Austin's today as he's very kindly agreed to let me have a pulley etc: and I will fit this. disable the air con and get the car down to their place ASAP in order to have it checked out properly. I feel that I owe them a replacement though so I'll call Scooter later when I'm home and after work hours to see what's what there. Thanks again to all contributors to this thread.

    Update later on...........
