    Default Sat-Nav CD Player wanted

I'm looking for a Sat-Nav CD player unit to fit my Mk1 ZT260 that has the earlier hi-line system fitted. Seen new ones on the net but the asking price is a bit beyond my budget. Any offers?

You are best looking for a BMW MK3 unit not a rover one, or upgrading to a MK4 dvd version for a bit more money.

Thanks for comments - any idea about currents costs of Mk3 or the DVD version? Also does the entire kit have to be changed?

    Many thanks, BF

I have just taken out the factory fit OE MK3 unit from my 260 - fully working - as I have a MK4 unit now. BMW / Rover units are identical and both took them from more than one manufacturer, though they are fully interchangeable as the whole system is BMW anyway. Ley me know if you are interested.

the rover unit is locked, compared to the standard bmw mk3 unit, which when selling makes them harder to sell.

Hi, I was also in the same situation and thanks to fellow members I was guided to the Mk 3 BMW CD unit which I got second hand on Ebay for around £137. It fitted straight in and powered up and is far superior to the 'crap' Rover version. Just need to re-programme the BMW logo out but that's a minor concern.

    Good hunting, BF.
