    Hi Peter,
Your car looks stunning, are the wheels in shadow chrome because they look good. You certainly take care of it.
Good info on your sticky on claying never seen it done so hear are my concerns,
how does claying compare with other products such as Maguires paint cleaner for example, i would be worried that any grit picked up by the bar would and could scratch the surface several times, and surely it can't clean as well as a fine cutting paste /cleaner you indicate only light pressure is required which is diffrent to a paint cleaner even if the car is clean.

Mine has about 1000 bugs implanted on the front from the 1000 miles i drove last week...

Bought some AutoGlym shampoo after running out of merguirs, seems to lather up a bit better... maybe i just used more. Intend to attempt claying it this weekend followed by a polish and probably turtle wax black to help try and fill in the 'gaps'. Although... might give some Mergs Scratch X a go first....

    Nice photos by the way

The wheels are slightly lighter than what they should be but still a good finish when i had them refurbished

being as the car has been cleaned and dried there shouldn't be any grit on the car to be picked up, the clay acts as a very fine cutting agent were as the paint cleaner is a bit more harsh. the paint cleaner is good for removing/reducing swirl marks etc. where as claying with only remove the surface contaminates.

I understand your concern on the claying.
    my method of washing is:
a pre soak using snow foam which loosens the suck on contaminates
pressure washed off with a low powered pressure washer
washes using the two bucket method again to stop swirl marks using wash mit
washed off with the pressure washer again
then dried using a large drying towel, no leathers or blades again can scratch
    then clayed.

Ooo gave mine bit of tlc last weekend...washed with Extreme Nano-Tech Wash & Wax, which i think is great! - and a quick sprinkling of nano tech speed wax, and back to black on the tyres - I really need to get it detailed, but ill get that done about end of October ready for the winter.

    Few piccies anyway....

this is the one i have, its very big, and sucks up the water easy, and even after drying the car, still dry enough to do it again.
