What you need:
Freshly cleaned car

Lubricate quick detailer (Meguiars Last Touch) 1 gallon £18.95 from www.cleanyourcar.co.uk
Microfibre cloths

You MUST have a clean car to be able to clay your car.

Once you have cleaned and dried your car you are ready to clay.
Start by cutting the clay bar in half (half is more than enough)

The clay needs to be made plyable before using it on your car. To do this you simply roll it between your hands to soften it.

Shape the clay into a ball and then flatten it into a pad shaped disc

Select the area that you want to start and spray the area with some lubricant as well as spraying the clay bar.

Slide the clay bar over the wet area. Do not use pressure. A light touch is all you need. You will feel and hear the bar working to remove particles.

When the bar glides smoothly, you are done and can then use a micro fiber towel to wipe it off.

After one panel

When moving onto the next panel, knead the clay and flatten again so not to use the same side used on the previous panel.

If you drop the clay on the floor throw it away, although it may seem clean there could be small stones etc in it that would scratch your paint, but since you will have cut the bar in half you still have a good piece to use.

Always use enough clay bar lubricant to avoid scratching. You want the clay bar to slide, not drag

Finish the car with a good polish and a wax to seal in the polish.

Clay bars are reusable until you can no longer get a clean surface after molding the clay into a pad.

Stand back and admire your very clean car.
