If you want it for a spare you don't necessarily need an Apex.

One of mine has an inside crack. Common fault then?

Had the crack for at least 2 years though, and still no air escaping etc. Will grab a spare when i see one for the right price though.

    Get a new wheel

I could be biased but: you could fill the tyre with a good tyre sealant.
If the air leaks it will seal the leak and (here it comes) put in a good product like Ultraseal USA (not Ultraseal UK) it will show up as a washable blue goo leaking out before it seals the leak.

    £250 for a p/x refurb set

    That is........£62.50 each

Have that done, then sell for £80 and you would still make £70

State they're in, £80 is to much, even with tyres

    Have a look here

Your link is for 11 spoke wheels not Apex and it is an exchange service not a part exhange - i.e. you have to have a set of Apexs to start the process. I also understand that they cannot refurbish to the original shadow chrome finish.

50 quid each (plus P+P) would seem reasonable for Apexes, considering the state they are in. I don't think second hand tyres are worth anything, personally.

There were two sets on the 75 club not that long ago, which needed a refurb, for £200.

It appears to be cheaper at some places to get a set of four refurbed than one at a time, but £220 - 250 seems to be average for four round here.
