Default what a load of drivel

nice car but look at the listing- the pub expert strikes again

It is the facelift model - and is one of the very last before MG went bust - beware of the ZT 260's after 05 plate - they were cobbled together by a company that the receivers bought in with the parts that were left in the factory (yes i did investigate these thoroughly before purchasing it!!) and what you will find on new ones - you may get a face-lift front end with an old rear end, or a face-lift rear on a old front. You often also end up with the older alloys, or rover alloys as opposed to MG ones - quite literally they did cobble them together and i was heavily warned off the slightly newer ones!!

    Are those wheels right ?

As he makes a point about the wrong wheels being fitted to some cars I guess the are.

same LPG system as mine - BRC. Interesting wht he says about running lean though as I seem to have that problem. may need a trip to a local LPG specialist........

Not sure what someone's question is saying about front bumper - surely a Mk1 front bumper wouldnt fit around the headlights?

I assumed that was a piss-take.... clearly both bumpers are 'correct', and any 'enthusiast' that 'had researched the Model' would have known that instantly..... NOT needed to 'check' after being 'Worried'

Mission accomplished from the 'asker' IMHO LOL (maybe I read too much into it however)

Not the 'standard' mk2 wheel as far as I'm aware thats the apex', but I think theres one or two with the Gridspoke option Wheel.

Strange after all that rambling he dosent mention the (assumed) X-Powers....

Looks nice though, and I'd like the lpg(never gonna afford the S/C )
But getting rid of the boot space means its no longer a family 'holiday' car, so kinda defeats the object....

It takes all sorts I guess....

    "Cobbled together" Chuckles......

I have just dropped him a line to ask him if he still has the original factory fit wheels. Given the rest of his claims, I wonder what the answer will be?

ETA - He's quick in his response, I'll give him that! He reckons they were fitted as a factory upgrade. I may be wrong, but I'm sure I remember Rincewind saying only the straights and the Apex were tested for the 260?

Neil Whilletts solar red 260 had them but he asked for them as an option I believe.
