    Unhappy

Looks like I was beaten to this one. Does anyone else out there have either zeros or xpowers they are looking to get a new home for. Or are looking to swap theirs back to originals again, or selling theirs and want originals on the car.

    Still hopeful!!!!

Looks like the Midlands is gathering quite a following!! Anyone going to the "gentlemens club" event at Gaydon, was a good event for MGfest?

My car has just been picked up by Dave Robinson (specialist) for its first MOT and a service. As I watched it driving away, I reached two conclusions.

    a. It looks great.

    b. It's not loud enough.

(although a lad across from us has just bought a TVR and everyone's complaining about it)

Hey - Not wanting to seem overly eager or anything, but, Monday is here

Unless you meant the other Monday (that isn't here yet) let me know the outcome, and PM the important bits (price, method of payment, details of collection, etc.)

    Cheers pal

Well, I've bit the bullet and am now the proud owner of a pair of new X-Powers (off EBay). Just have to fit them now though!! Couple of questions beforehand:

    1) How much do you think somebody like Kwik Fit would charge to swap them for me?

    2) Will I regret them?

    1) They are easy to put on would only take minutes on a lift ramp.

    2) down to taste, were a bit too loud for me.

    1) easy to do yourself, jack up the rear and do side by side or go to ATS or something as they charged me 30 quid to do a cat-back system

    2) If you've bit the bullet as you say, I assume you gave it some thought, and then the answer is: no you shouldn't regret it (loads of threads around this subject of exhausts on this forum)

    Belcher,
I fitted some X-Powers a few weeks ago. I bought them from ebay (Z warehouse) They took about 1 hour to fit just make sure that you spray all of the bolts with wd-40. Do this over two or three days before you try to undo the bolts, As often people dont allow enough time for it to do its stuff. I removed the rear wheels to give plenty of room to get at the back boxes and swing a big hammer .

Personally I try not to let anyone work on my cars, As in the past I have been to so called experts and they are in my experience often worse than useless.

But it depends on what you feel comfortable doing. Remember the self and haftey bit and make sure the car is securely supported.

I really like the X-Powers, and I do not get any resonance. But I do get a slight sizzling from the gear stick.

    1) I paid my local exhaust centre £40.00 to fit them, 5 mins one side but 30 mins for the other, they had to cuty the clamp of eventually with a torch.

    2) You wont but your neighbours probably will
