    Default Is this Tourer known?

Went to see a ZTT this Sunday, MK2 SE in pale blue no '267'. Supplied by Arnold Clark (West Midlands) in 04 it is on its 3rd owner, the first was the dealer, second a doctor?.
The current owner has had the car since January and is selling because the LPG tank reduces the carrying capacity so much, he says he intends to bur a 1.8 tourer instead (quelle difference)

The car has had an LPG coversion, but given the tank is 18" in diameter and the full width behind the seats it makes a joke of having a tourer.
The LPG tank also looks pretty tatty to boot, and although it is fully certificated it looks like it should be installed on a tractor not a car complete with what looks like a gas meter on top.
Despite being described as 'stunning' the car does need quite a bit spending on it, Wheels refurbed, back silencer boxes shot, brake discs etc. Also I think it may have had some bodywork done front and rear bumbers, like it had been the filling in a shunt sandwich! The gaps round the lights front of bonnet do not look right, whilst the ZTT badge on boot is 'crooked' the seller tells me supplying garage told him bumper was painted as scuffed.

Sorry to ramble on, but any input would be greatfully received,
    Stuart

    I don't have 267 on my database..........yet Stuart.

I would not be too concerned about badges etc. look more at the mechanics check it has not been thrashed within an inch of its life. look for any of the mods, clip, hose etc. These will tell you a lot about the last owner/s. That said do check to see if the body work has been done properly and not done up to sell.

The picture you paint would make me walk I'm afraid. Sounds like it has not been looked after at all.

Thanks for input, I felt it has spent its short life as just 'transport' rather than being enthusiast cared for.
    So back to looking.....
