Don't worry about brakes etc rare, we can get hold of them without too much trouble. Collective power mate! You concentrate on buying the car, we'll worry about the rest

Hopefully going to look at the 05 plate red one thats currently on autotrader tommorow. I am slightly worried that things like rear discs willl stat vanishing and leave me with an expensive garden ornament!!

    Thumbs up

Thanks for the posts. I had been quoted four figures for a pair fitted, but even my local ex-MG dealer (still working on Rovers and MGs) couldn't believe they couldn't do better. They have just quoted £399 supplied and fitted, so I am heaving a sigh of relief!

True, but unfortunately the parts sent were the wrong ones. So still waiting for a resolution!

Must admit I have not seen anyone beat us on price so far so it would be good to see what the final price is.

I've been talking to Brakes International about a few things and they say there is only one supplier and the are "very, very dear"

Keep up the good work Pete!!

That was my first experience! My local ex-MG dealer, who has serviced the car from new, quoted over a thousand pounds initially, but undertook to look elsewhere. The later price of £399 included fitting and pads, but when the discs arrived they were not correct! They are still trying to resolve the problem with their supplier.

So the outcome is not yet resolved. More news as it breaks.

    Pete,

That is increasingly likely to be the way ahead!
