Default 75 V8 tourer please please

    Hi ALL
I have a private collection of British cars representing every decade
of production from a 1909 Swift to a 100 addition P38 Range Rover,
with Wolseley, Triumph, Jaguar, Daimler, Bristol, Sunbeam & Humber
    represented.
What I don't have is a Rover nor anything for 2000-2009 period & it
seems to me a Rover 75 V8 would fill in the gap nicely, especially if
    it were a Tourer.
Please accept my gratitude in anticipation for your attention in this
    matter.

    Please pm me.

You don't say where you are, Watty, so I don't know if you would want LHD or RHD.
Originally there were 151 saloon Rover 75 V8's made, of which 35 were LHD (including mine!)
There were also 16 Tourers made of which only 3 were LHD.

The list of cars for sale here on the Forum is updated 2x daily, and currently shows 2 Saloons for sale in the UK (RHD), 1 in Australia (RHD), 2 in Holland (1 LHD, 1 RHD) and 1 in France (LHD). At present no Tourers are known to be for sale.

    Hi Watty
75 V8 Tourers are very hard to find - I tried, and gave up! I have instead a mint MG ZT-T 260 in starlight silver, no. 578, whic - manual of course (most Rovers were autos). It has X-Power exhausts which sound fabulous, otherwise standard. I have the original twin-pipe exhausts as well. It has done 32000 miles from new. I replaced the rear shocks when the club last placed an order for them, and also bought a set of front ones while they were available, to fit if/when needed.
The car is not on the market, but I have builders arriving in 2 weeks for some major work on the roof of my house, which I will have to pay for somehow!
    Please pm me if interested.
    Regards

Yes, just as you say, Cavo, Rover 75 V8 Tourers are a bit "hen's teeth" ! Even worse if you fancy a LHD one (3).
All Rovers are automatic, incidenly, and only a handful of ZT 260's are automatic. 7 or so in Australia I believe, and a couple of prototypes for the Rover V8, badged as MG ZT 260, in the UK. There is also a LHD ZT-T 260 Auto (only one?), owned by member 'scoubix' in France, but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be separated from it.

Do you have some photos of your ZT-T 260 #578, Cavo?
We don't have one even in the Forum 'Photographs-of-Cars-Ordered-by-VIN' thread I see.

    David,
Yes, I have some nice photos - happy to share them, but what's the best way of uploading them, and where?

That's good, thanks. You could upload photos to the Member's Gallery, but for now probably the easiest way for you is to send an email to mods.twosixties@gmail.com with a subject of "Att: David, Photos #578", or some such, and add the photos as attachments to the email. I'll make sure they get into the VIN Gallery etc.

Edit: Done, 5 added, courtesy of Nich, 17/01. https://www.two-sixties.co.uk/galler...php?album=1731
