Question In search of a Typhoon 260 ZT

    Good morning all

I've returned after years away from 75/ZT ownership.

I've owned a few but the one I've always wanted is a 260, in Typhoon. There's only 12 I believe so I know it's very unlikely I'll find one for sale however if you don't try you won't succeed!

One was available but unfortunately a deposit was taken on it last week so I missed it by the skin of my teeth.

So, has anyone got a typhoon 260 they're considering selling at any point in the foreseeable future, or know of someone who owns one? Even if you aren't considering selling it, I'd love to learn how many are members on the forum.

    Cheers

Assume you are referring to #112. It is still showing as "For Sale" on Car and Classic, so presumably waiting for the sale to actually complete (or not) before deciding to take it down. Also showing "For Sale" on William Thompson's own site too. Have you actually spoken to them?

Still a small chance for you, maybe. The car was shown as "Deposit taken" a few weeks back, only to be shown a week later as "Available" again.
    You never know,

There were actually 14 Typhoon ZT 260 saloons made, all RHD but one, #118 KC53 FXA, went off the radar years ago. Not taxed since 2004 and not MOT'd since 2006 (no SORN). Last ownership change registered in 2007 but not shown as either 'exported' or 'scrapped' by DVLA. In all probability one of those two.

    Hi David

    Thanks for the reply

I am indeed referring to #112. I spoke to a dealer and a deposit was taken last week. I've left my details in the hope that the buyer changes their mind.

Do you know of any other that have been listed for sale?

    Cheers

(None of the advertisement URL links will work any more of course).
F.Y.I. The last two ownership changes shown by the DVLA for #112 were in September of 2020 and again September 2021.

Well that's interesting they come up for sale more than I imagined. Thank you for the list.

1 year seems like a short time to keep it however I guess they're not for everyone.

I'll have to keep my fingers crossed and eyes peeled for one!
