Some you need to move on pretty quickly, I imagine.
When I bought my R75V8, I "bought" it on the telephone within 10 minutes of listing, with an agreed hold for 18 hours, subject to me seeing the beast and agreeing that it met the description, and nothing 'hidden'.
Notional PayPal deposit (offered) not needed, said seller.
Can't always ask or get agreement to that kind of thing of course. Good if you can.

As it was not too far away I viewed it this morning, I was going to walk away as the car had a few other minor issues that would need addressing, I made an offer and it was accepted. All paid for now and waiting for my transport guy to give me a date/time to pick it up as it wouldn't get to Lincoln with the fan belt the way it was. Will let you know how much once I've picked it up David for your records unless you want to PM me

Wheeler dealer selling privately, because he wants dealer-price without going through the dealership books and no guarantee either.
Asked his "salesman" to list it in his name privately?
