I love the colour of that green one, and I know it's worth what someone will pay for it, but for me at least it's up for about £10k too much at a minimum.

Perhaps it's someone who doesn't really want to sell it. Much like that 08 plate 75. Best thing to do would be to stick it through an auction with a reserve and then they will know how much it's really worth to someone else!

I have always loved this one. My kids hate the colour but I am a big fan, I wanted to paint the SVR I am building in that colour but James Crow beat me to it as it was an option to have it from MG Sport and Racing on the SVR but it was never used.

It was bought (found) by the fella who owned a Wheel Specialist (refurb) place. If I recall it was a bit of luck as he saw it going for an MOT and spoke to the owner. The car ony had about 8000 miles then and was approx £6000. He had it for a few years and then sold it to Jerry, with those horrid green 5 spoke wheels.

Jerry was a long term fan of owner of a few cars. He had owned a 6r4 and also bought a SVR new from MG Sport and Racing. The car was in great condtion when Jerry bought it and he spent a small fortune taking the rear subframe etc out rebuiling and adding all new bits. I think the issue was that there was large bills as the labor adds up also so when he came to sell and wanted his money back that was a tall order. He had it up for nearly £20k (maybe less) at the time. I offered him £14K in 2020 when it was for sale but he turned me down flat I am not sure a non supercharged one had sold for close to that in the UK for many years so I thought that was a fair offer. I can only assume he sold it on then and this guy is now selling. I think he will struggle at that price and it's likely value is closer to £18K.

David will know, but it must have been listed for nearly a year and down to mid 20's by the time he took the listing down last time.

Here is the work Jerry did https://rockenterprises.co.uk/vehicl...past/mg-zt260/

Although the photo is of his previous mk1 I think this is the amount spent on the Mk2 https://rockenterprises.co.uk/vehicl...0/zt260-costs/

Yes agree love the color but most Greens are Marmite and some of it comes back to the old wives tale that Green cars were unlucky.

They are not expecting much from this considering the mileage and apparent condition https://www.handh.co.uk/auction/lot/...p=48&pn=1&g=1#
I suppose not being an SE will put some people off but it will be interesting to see how much it goes for.

On the contrary, Steve, given the current market, I think they may even struggle.

Hammer fell at £9,500, as a 'provisional' sale, but finally firmed up as a 'sale' for £12,000, according to the auctioneer.
