If it is the correct item is it by the pollen filter? As it looks new and going through the history has had one fitted??

even if its had a new original style valve fitted the seals harden and leak even though the valve looks perfectly serviceable, and it only takes a sniff of hot water to make the cabin unbearably hot

Its a long while ago since I developed my valve, but Im sure I used a good original valve to check the cold resistance and Ive used the same actuator so I would say yes.
Having said that the actuaturs are a bosch part and very reliable, unlike the valve itself which the originals were made in mexico, presumably from recycled bean cans
