Just by way of update - Maniflow have gone very quiet on this. If anyone knows another exhaust specialist that would entertain producing us some replicas please make yourself known! The problem is that I had anticipated a larger order than a dozen or so. I think we need at least two dozen to make it remotely viable for someone.

    Recent email from Janspeed:
We no longer have any jigs for these parts as we only ever made a few many many years ago, we have discontinued most xpower parts now.

I then asked whether they had any design information in the archives...to which they replied:
We don't have any information on these as when they were made the first time, a set was made to fit on the car and then a jig was made up to reproduce them, but like I said we no longer have any jigs, sorry.

Steve, may be a long shot but have you tried Custom Chrome in Nuneaton?
They are a relatively small custom exhaust manufacturer and fitter, so may be happier to work with smaller numbers.
The silencers they fitted for me 6-7 years ago are quite tame compared to x-powers as I didn?t what anything too loud, but they have no resonance and great at motorway cruising speeds.
I was pretty impressed with the quality for the cost, fully fitted with a choice of tailpipes, the cost was nearly half what used x-powers were selling for at the time.
Back then the owner of CC was driving a GT500 so had a good idea on what would work on a 260.
May be worth a chat to see if they could build x-power replicas, though they may need to see & hear some to get an idea of what your after.

I have used two companies in Leeds - Tony Law Exhausts in Hunslet (about 30 years ago) and Tony Banks Exhausts in Wortley (only a few years ago).

The latter did a very good job on my ZS. The former did a good job on my Ducati. I would recommend Tony Banks for this job.

    Hi Steve,

There is another exhaust firm in the Salsibury area, who I think are still going. Torque Technique at Wilton near Salisbury - they seem to have good reports.
    May be worth a call?

Thank you chaps - appreciate the input and recommendations.
Steve - I see you don't live far from me! That makes two Twilight V8's in the locality! (I assume yours is the one that was featured in the press back in 04/05?)
