For heavens sake. Half a tank of fuel. Tge advice hear on sourcing saves that easily before the tips on doing jobs right and not having to fix mess ups because you did it wrong after believing the Haynes or Rave manuals.

Well said.
Like most clubs/organisations, The collective is what makes the club, Without the input from knowelegable people, this forum would not be one of the best to keep our car active.
Even new members give something, If not only questions to remind us oldies of the challenges we can have.
and the monthly MGOC (and MGCC) magazine often has some great articles.

Well worth the money plus 12 very good mags
Id agree with the "useless" MGOC in some respects, but the MOST useful part is that your insurance HALVES in cost when a member, so its a no-brainer really
As a matter of interest what would you want the club to do make it better?
We have the same discussion in the Jensen owners club, members say they want pub meets so they are arranged and 3 people turn up, we arrange a weekend get together and it is the wrong location, we organise a technical day and some people turn up with broken cars expecting the get them repaired for nothing.
