Press cars, show cars and so on often have multiple personalities (even down to the "make"). Unless anyone claims to know better, I imagine it could be that one. No nearer finding the VIN and/or its history.

Have a look in the gallery at VIN #633, it's shown as having black piping on the VIN lists but the photos tell a different story.
