    Default sump plug

    Can not get the sump plug out, just wont shift and the head of the bolt has almost rounded off. any ideas on how to get it out?

    Have you tried running the engine to get the sump hot, the expansion due to heat may give you enough to break whatever seal is holding it. If the head of the plug is rounding off use mole grips or saw a slot in the bolt head but be careful the sump body is not that strong and is made of chocolate apart from the fact that there aren't many threads in the thin material.

    The plug if i remember is an allen head, can you source an impact driver and give it a sharp tap while it's hot, it that fails weld a bolt or nut to the old stud and loosen it that way.
