Default Trophy Blue 260 on eBay - now mine!

    Hello All

Well things worked out well and I will be picking up the car on 29th April - thanks for the welcomes/good wishes sent me by other members/owners here.

I have the VIN number and thought I would make a start in finding out about her history.
I looked at the mg-rover.info website and now know some more information, but hope someone here can help me understand /interpret some of it?

    What do the following mean?

    Spec code = L01B
    cicode = H9325
    VIN sequence = 57

I was going to say so mine is the 57th ZT260 made, but then under the heading 'General information' it says -

"This vehicle was the 6th ZT 260 to be made out of 180"

As I know there were a lot more 260s made than that, does it mean mine was the 6th to be made in October 2003 perhaps?

    Thanks

    Andrew

It could be the 6th ZT260 in that colour.

Lots of info including posts from previous owners when you get full membership Andrew. Some photos in the Gallery.

    Cheers Colin

Thanks Nich for the links - nice to see if that it has been known to the club previously.

Only mods I have in mind for now is I'd like to get the dash etc. painted in body colour, and it'd be great to find some blue alacantra seats.
Maybe eventually refurb the wheels (which are shadow chrome Apex), but they'll be fine for now

    Cheers

Put your location in your profile, it helps to offer advice such as where to get your Apex alloys refurbed.

Could 180 be the number of saloon mk1s?

Probably, unlikely to be colour, not 180 Trophy Blue 260's.
