OK I went, I saw, I drove, and the seller has my deposit! :-)
Subject to an MOT pass on Thursday, she is mine!
Who do you guys use for insurance?
I will be joining MGOC so I can then be a proper signed up member of this club.

Many congrats Andrew. Send Tim a PM to get the questionnaire. Insurance companies vary, age dependent really, get a few quotes and see how they pan out. Some swear by Peter Best but it doesn't carry a NCB, shop around.

    Congratulations

peter best insurance services. You have an option of a non classic modern MG policy which will acrue no claims discount or a classic policy with agreed value. I tend to have the classic policy for 2 years then the modern MG then back to classic fir 2 years etc etc to keep the NCB alive (but not gaining)

Well done and welcome, assuming all goes well.

I use Peter Best on their non classic modern MG policy.

Congrats and welcome along I would say obviously Pete Best is worth a look, but it's definitely worthwhile shopping about as Pete Best went from competitive to not even in the ballpark for me in the space of a year ??

Tried again the next year and still absolutely hundreds away
that was after being with then for a few years too, so definitely worth checking about including the online compare sites as 'confused' I think it was brought me a much better quote that I have since repeated 2-3 times after nowt challenging it..

Do shop around and don't forget your local broker, I did all the usual Internet searching and my local broker was within £5 and I can pop in if I ever get a problem.

I have tried to sort and insurance claim over the phone a few years ago and I vowed never again, every time you pick up the phone there is a different person and you have to explain it from the beginning. For the sake of a few quid a year I will always try and use a local broker.
