I saw that last night, only done 400 miles since August by the look of the MOT history.

Seems a good price for such a low mileage example.

Looks nice and pretty! Contrary to the descriptive blurb, it looks like it hasn't got any extra's over standard SE; bit 'basic' if that can be said of an SE. No Hi-Line SatNav, no Vortex 18" wheels and as far as I can see, no PDC. None of that is too important I suppose.

Well, I, for one, don't understand why the 75 V8 wasn't built with all options ticked in from the factory on all of them. This car was supposed to be MGR's flagship, not having Xenons, PDC and having a basic lowline stereo really doesn't suit the car.

Marketing. Kept the price down(?) and made sure most people would end up by going for the ludicrously expensive somewhat basic extra's they inevitably wanted. Having the roof-mounted DVD player screen could maybe a reasonable option, but my SE doesn't even have the rear sun-blind which my 2 old 2000 75's have as standard.

True story: Back in the early 70's the original VW Golf GTI 1600 was only available in 3 colours, all of which were "special" colours in the options list at extra price! (I suppose you get one in undercoat FOC (not)). Gave the dealer something to "give away" as a special discount just for you!
