    Default Current market for 260s

Folks, what do you think is a realistic budget these days to buy a decent condition 260?

I may be getting nearer my goal of having a pot of money for one in a month or two but, for example, what would 7-8k buy in today's market?
I'm sure buying one from a club/enthusiasts' group like this, would be the best way to go

    Cheers

I think 7 - 8k would get you an honest standard car with average mileage Andrew. The market for the V8 is appreciating as you can see from the adverts you have come across.

Thanks Tim, fingers crossed that the money comes through.
If so, then I'll be watching and asking around on this forum (and joining up as as proper member)

Good man, keep your eyes on the for sale section.

I was a total virgin when it came to MG Rover never mind the V8 and I'm indebted to members on here for their guidance when I purchased my one. I landed lucky with my purchase so I'd recommend you read all the info in the interim and buy the best one you can find

Thanks Les, sounds like wise advice.
I think this place and it's members will be my first point of call for sourcing a car, when/if I'm ready

Thanks for the offer Colin, but as Bainzi says I'm up North (between Leeds and York)
Any 260 owners in my neck of the woods?
