If that last conversion is anything to go by then I suspect it is fantastic. He has a LWB 75 in Dark Fantasy I've seen that and it was an amazing job

Not seen any for £3k, lowest was £4,5 a year ago and they are appropriating now so im guessing a well used one for around £5k.

Some men see things as they are and say why - I dream things that never were and say why not.

You have to be lucky and patient. I know I was VERY lucky a year ago to buy my LHD "Olive" for around £3k (R75V8 Conny, lots rarer) even though she has 200k miles on the clock. Goes like a train, and Nick say's the condition is 'unbelievably good'. Waited 4 years to find her and bought her on the telephone, unseen, less than 5 minutes after the internet posting. Dealer didn't know what he had. 6 people waiting in line in case I said "no" when I picked her up, so they could bid for her.
In 1970 I bought a Lotus Elan S3, found in a factory outbuilding about to be bulldozered for Spaghetti-Junction for 300 quid; unseen again, and discovered it was intact and had only 5k on the clock.

Moral? Sometimes the gods do look down on you; generally not!

Tim, like i said - i'm looking for any condition, i can fix any problems much cheaper in Lithuania than in UK. Please offer me for 4000 pounds and we will discuss.

David, i know this feeling, few years ago i've lost auction in german Ebay. There was green LHD ZT v8, a bit rusty and with engine problem. Made ~3100 Eur bid, and the other one overbid me in last seconds with 50 Eur... A nightmare...

I think your best bet is to keep looking at all the relevant websites as often as possible and when you see one at around £4k or less just go for it unseen. If you don't somebody else will.

Obviously this is risky,as you may find you need to spend a lot of money on it to bring it up to standard, but you probably won't get one around that price at the moment if you hang about as prices seem to be drifting up along with the classic car market in general.

Unless the classic car prices in general fall significantly I think you will be very very lucky to get one for around £3k

I guess the 3k/4k days are gone except for a damaged car.

I paid around 3K for mine, not damaged but just out of the road for some time...but then an additional 3K to get it back on the road, including paint job.

    Mirtininkas,

When I was at Regitra in October they told me that (despite the EU directive) they will not register RHD cars nor will they register LHD conversions.

You might want to check this.

When I wanted to re-register my LHD UK registered Mercedes in LT, TUVLITA would not even carry out the technical test unless I could pove it was built as a LHD car. Fortunately I had a build certificate from MB Customer Services.
