Correct? More a question of taste, I think. Personally I hate the big gaudy yellow things that despoil the rear of the car. Could be a tad higher mounted though, again a question of taste. David

Don't be to hard on yourself I prefer the smaller number plate as well.

But a nice looking car anyway and a warm welcome to the club.

Aah, another illegal plate which technically makes the car illegal on the road and thus could be seized and crushed (unlikely I know but technically possible).

Of course it might be o.k. to have other than the EU symbol but I always believed there are only two symbol types allowed?

I find it crazy how one Policeman will pull a vehicle for having a slightly iffy plate and another wont even bother even though the plates are completely illegal.

My mate recently got pulled on the M5 for having silver and black plates on his 2000 reg car, the cop went mad at him telling him cameras and the like don't recognise these plates ( now there is a thought) and gave him a 7 day notice to comply and he had to take his car to an MOT testing station with the correct plates to get a form signed and he still got a £40 fine.

Then you see these kids in there cars with obviously illegal plates and they just get left.

Is it part of the MOT?

They came from the dealers with a large rear plate. Also when the 75 was designed, Rover took design inspiration from the Rover P5, part of which was the large rear plate.
