    Default Still thinking

To those members who were so welcoming on this site when I joined the other month, I am still lurking and thinking about buying a 260, I just need to sell my Triumph Stag first to raise the necessary funds. Thank you for your friendly comments

It's on carandclassic and classiccarsforsale websites if you know anyone who might be interested? (red one at £12,000)

    Cheers

    Thanks Colin
I see you're a TSSC member? What Triumph do you have?
My 1st classic (which I still own) is a 1971 Triumph Sixfire (Mk.IV Spit with a Vitesse 6-cylinder, 2-litre engine) -a cracking car!

Agree very pretty car. Remember seeing them on display in Birmingham Bull-Ring at their introduction back in the days of old. Pity that the 2.5 V8 proved unreliable. The Daimler 250 (kind of Jag. Mk.2) I had at the same time, was A.O.K., but maybe under-stressed by most owners. Wonder how the Daimler Dart owners faired? Same engine problem as the Stag, I guess. Lots of Stags have Rover SD1 V8's installed now, as I understand.

... Apparently got it all wrong! Not the same motor as the Daimler Dart / 250 V8 at all. Red face

    ... still a pretty car.

Yes, borrowed one for 6 weeks years and years ago. Handled like a porker but sounded a million-bucks ! Good bird-puller; interesting with mini-skirts.
