Thank you Scooter for adding your knowledge and help here - much appreciated by all on the Forum, cheers!

Yep. Like I said : "However it might still be worth wiggling the blue connectors at the wheel-arch ends to see if that effects it. The loom-end part of the connector can crumble or become damaged after being disconnected several times over the years. I 'fixed' one by hard-wiring it. Really terrible connectors prone to problems like the air-bag ones under the front seats."

I use these for many things. Prongs are split (so can be widened)

A bit of grease and a wire tie sometimes.

I have had similar problems with ABS warning and speedo drop off, mine was initially caused by a wheel speed sensor on its way out subsequently replaced with an after market sensor which show ABS warning lights at various speeds then I replaced with an original parts which solved all the problems.

Sold for £6,900 Quite a high price for a car without a MoT and needing work!! Curiously the winning bidder placed their bid nearly a week ago, so will be interesting to see if the deal completes, or will we see the car 'relisted' in a week or so like so many vehicle sales on E bay.

Yeh, been there, done that. What should happen so often is not the case. Basically if either party really doesn't want to go through with the deal then it won't happen. Many, many ways to crawl out short of just disappearing. Once "bought" a recon motor for my Pontiac Bonneville SSE for 1 Euro on Ebay, no reserve, (so say). Ho Ho Ho !

Thinking positive, hopefully it will go through! Fingers crossed.

Hope he's serious. Will be pissed off if he's not. He seems to be a MG Rover 75 parts seller? Has a good feedback record but seems to be a seller not a buyer. Can't see him breaking it for parts at that price. Maybe fancies a project?

I hope he is legitimate VXman as it might be an indication that values for our cars are on the up. However I think that price is probably a tad high for a car needing that amount of work (no offence) and an mg 'dealer' especially should know that!

    Good luck!
