    Default Hi.....Another newbie.(

    Hi All -

I have been lurking for a while, owned a fair few MG's over the years. Most recently a Mk 2 ZS 180, been a member of x-power forums for yearsssss.

As part of my other half's job we got a to good to be missed deal on a new car on a 18 month deal ( I won't mention the make ).

I will be after a new car early next year ( yes I'm starting the search early ) for a 260, just want to do lots of research on them before I start looking, I could get the car slightly earlier and use as a weekend car, luckily I only do 6000 ish miles a year.

Slightly prefer the Mk2 on looks but wouldn't discount the Mk1 and again there isn't really a colour I don't like.

Anyway, lots of reading to do

    Jez.

We have a ZS 180 and the 260, each the brilliant in a different way, FWD v RWD.

The 260 is comfortable around town, and spectacular elsewhere.

The 260 takes time to get used to, (a lot of metal to move around), where as the ZS is sprightly.

Its strange to hear the 180 called "sprightly", we were always clased as the "Heavy-uns" on xpf etc. Looking forward to having lots of metal again had a couple of 827 wayyyy back. I moved from FWD 180 to 4x4 coupe with over 300bhp and lld tq which has been strange so seems logical to try RWD next

Welcome from Downunder, Jez. Good luck with your search. I can recommend BRG as THE colour!
