Cheers for the info lads, but the ZT we were looking at has now gone above our price range Still tho there's plenty of time to get one, plus being on here will give me even more infomation and get the best ZT for the price.

    Its not over yet

At the moment £2000, plus myself putting cash towards it.

I've had a chat with my dad and best time to get one is next year, best thing to do if he really wants a ZT then the Lexus will have to be sold. I think he wanted to keep as well as having a ZT V8 to play with.

Plus next year we'll have a bit more cash and work is better

All good things comes to those who wait.

Plus researching about these cars will give us a head start, when it comes to viewing one, When I bought my 75 I was like a shark hunting for any faults I can find, hoping there wasn't of course, did find a few things that needed sorting, but the price was right and I bought it there and then.

Right when the time comes to look at one, what are the things do I check on? Also what sort of questions do I ask and what are the main parts I'm looking for such as common faults and that kind of stuff. ?

Want to be armed and ready before we even look at one, always good to be one step ahead of the hounds.

If you have to ask about the Mpg, its not really the right car to be buying!

Perfectly normal question to ask, and one I asked before I bought mine over 7 years ago now

Oh, and over a 3300 or so mile trip down to Croatia and back via many mountain passes still averaged 27-28 mpg and yes, it was a great trip - five of us took our V8's down there back in 2011
