Default Cracked Heating hose connection to engine

    Hello everybody,

actually the heater hose on my ZT-T 260 is still ok but the connection towards the engine (a plastics tube) has cracked.
Does anybody know where to get a spare part ?

I am talking about the part that connects this pipe to the engine:

    Sebastian

Hi Sebastian, this has been discussed recently, whereabouts are you on the planet?

If you sign up for full membership all the answers are there. Sounds like you need a new manifold if the plastic outlet feeding the hose is broken.

    Hi,

I am located in Germany - membership is probably worth a try.
    Inlet manifold sounds expensive :-(
Is it the standard Ford Mustang GT part (this one here: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...487&cc=1425024) or a special Rover/MG one ?

    Regards,
    Sebastian

    Hi,

I actually live in a small town ~60mls north of Frankfurt.
Me and my family lived in Essex for a year and just returned to Germany a couple of months ago.

I am a quite keen on V8-powered British sports cars (beside the ZT 260 I have an old S2 Continental and a Jensen C-V8 which I restored during the last couple of years).
But the ZT 260 is my daily driver so I don't have too much time to get it back on the road ;-)
Where do you usually buy parts for the V8 ? In Germany there are special US car parts shops (such as KTS) but they are quite expensive so I buy the expensive parts at rockauto.com and pay extra for customs and delivery.

    Regards,
    Sebastian

From another post on the same issue:

There are some reported issues with the Dorman replacement.
The alternator bracket doesn't line up correctly and the holes for the COPs are not threaded.
Brown and Gammons did have an original MGR replacement, I'll post the link if I can find it.

    Found it:
