Ian, I don't know you but I know exactly what you are going through. A few years ago when I was a lot younger (and lighter) managed to do both my legs at the same time when a jump from a plane went very, very wrong. Actually the jump went find but the chute didn't....Any way, I found a secretary chair with the back taken off (as long as its on wheels) works really well for pushing yourself around the house.
