Default Now Sold, my MK1 ZT400 SE is for sale due to redundancy

My MK1 ZT400 SE is for sale due to redundancy

HP who I have worked for, for 16 years are making me redundant at the end of July.
In addition in 2013 Karen was diagnosed with cancer as well, fortunately she responded well throughout last year to the treatment however our priorities for the short and long term have understandably now changed.

Those of you that have been to meets here know I have a fair bit of land to keep on top of and the impending redundancy has basically set in motion a hopefully mostly exciting series of future events.

Now that the kids are nearing being old enough to leave home Karen and I have decided to take the opportunity to downsize now, somewhat earlier than originally planned and in doing so will be making what I hope should be our last house move whilst we are still fit and able to do so.

So as part of that plan I am going to sell my ZT400 and once it has gone I will be listing all my spares and my T4 as well in later ads.

Now lets get something out of the way first, any potential buyers turned off by a car having been recorded as a cat c should first read the following thread(s) and if still interested in the car come back to this thread after that. Needless to say I personally ensured the car was in better condition post accident than it was before it.

Or if you don't have access I posted a shorter version to the owners club forum this thread as well.

On with some brief details, there is really no point saying a great deal here, anyone genuinely interested needs to give me a call to discuss it or better still and come and see it in the flesh

ZT 400 SE in Celestial Blue (the only MK1 afaik in that colour.)
Presently just under 97 k on the clock
Cobra clutch fitted at 68,000 miles
Blower fitted in 2008 by Dreadnought at 77,400 miles
    Usual SE spec
    +
    HK Audio
BMW MK4 Nav, BM24 dual tuner Radio and Widescreen monitor
    Traffic Master
    Manual rear blind
    Spare wheel in the boot.

    Asking price is £8,000 ovno.
To arrange a viewing contact me via PM or to ZT400@outlook.com

I bought it in September 2009
The Mot is due on August 11th and obviously as I still use the car, I will be getting that done in due time.
The next oil change is due in 3000 miles iirc.
The rear tyres are excellent but the fronts probably will require replacement soon.
Handbrake compensator mod done, and brand new cables fitted as well!
Very good disk and pads all round.

    Bad points
The bonnet has some paint chips that should be attended to.
I regret it now but I didn't get it painted at the time of the accident repair because then I was toying with various forms of bonnet vents on a test bonnet. (see other thread on that)

The wheels do need a refurb, with the exception of one of them they are still the originals so over the years they have collected some kerb rash, mostly though it is just the paint and lacquer failing which spoils the look of the rest of the car imho.

Three years on and the carpet spray mount glue for blue cloth I have used on the door cards has not held as well as I had hoped on a couple of them they could do with being redone I probably did not use enough.
I will provide the buyer with the remainder of the roll of cloth I used. I had also planned to trim a spare dash with it one day as it is a cracking colour.

So that is about it,the car needs no work so buy, insure, tax and enjoy it and at the same time join a very exclusive club, indeed it's hard to imagine these cars are rarer than some Italian exotica out there.

I guess people would like some pictures now

No, that was Stu C's that he recently sold. It had different cams fitted hence the lumpy noise.

Stu at that event was running sleeved Xpower rear boxes hence the extra noise.
I am not a great fan of such push fit mods because at one point whilst joining one of the motorways during our outing one was ejected directly at my car, fortunately it missed!

On a standard 75 ZT, no they can't as they are coded to match the immobiliser iirc although I have seen suggestions that if the engine and imobilser ecu are swapped as a pair it can work I personally have never tried it, For the V8 I suspect the gateway ECU is the part coded instead and the engine ecu could be transparent to the rest of the car so it might work.

The ECU is coded to the car Keith. When I had my S/C fitted I borrowed a Roush 360 ECU to get me to Jamsport. That ECU had to be coded for the car before it would run.
