Default Hi all, just took the plunge into 260 ownership

    Hi folks,

Just thought I'd post a quick hello. I'm new to the forum, I just brought a 260 on Saturday and I can honestly say it's been a good three days so far!!

I need to finish off my registration for the site as I got the car with a sticking heater valve and I remember reading (before I brought it - I haggled hard!!) on here that this is a common issue and that someone on the site has a fix. Could I ask if someone could point me in their direction please?

Just as an aside, I'm based in Northamptonshire, a general car nut (currently there is also a MK2 Golf Gti and a lightly modded Land Rover Discovery in the fleet) and partial to a motorbike (1995 Triumph Daytona). Hopefully bump in to some other memebers at a show or two over the summer.

    Bye for now.

    Andy

Hi Andy, welcome along. The heater valve can be replaced with an upgraded unit from the club shop (think they might be restocking as we speak). When you go 'green' you will have access to a lot more information. Let us know the last three digits of the VIN when you have joined up.

Hi Andy welcome to the wonderful world of the twosixties. I think as you've already found they'r quite intoxicating and unique. They can be frustrating at times but there's always an answer here at the twosixties, wouldn't be without mine...

Welcome from Downunder, Andy. You'll have lots of fun working through "Scooter's List" of mods, checks and character-building quirks...
